Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data RAYVO collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the RAYVO website and to the RAYVO platform used by businesses and their teams.

1. Who we are

RAYVO is business software for solar and service businesses, founded by Chandrashekhar Meshram and based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.

For visitors to our website and for the people who hold RAYVO accounts, RAYVO decides how that data is used and is responsible for it as a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Businesses that use RAYVO also store data about their own customers, leads, suppliers and employees in the platform. For that data, the business is the Data Fiduciary and RAYVO processes it on the business's behalf and on its instructions.

2. Data we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, role, and the company and branch you belong to. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
  • Business records that a company enters into RAYVO, which can include leads, customers, site surveys, electricity bills uploaded for sizing, quotations, projects, invoices, payments, expenses, inventory, suppliers, and employee, attendance and payroll information.
  • Activity records: which user created or changed a record and when, kept as an audit trail so a business can see who did what.
  • Technical data needed to run the service securely, such as the cookies that keep you signed in and server logs that record requests and errors.
  • Payment details for a RAYVO plan: the plan, amount, payment status and the subscription reference. Card and UPI details are entered on Dodo Payments' checkout and never reach RAYVO.
  • Location: when you pick a site on the map, its address and coordinates are saved with that record. Push notifications, if you turn them on, store a subscription address for your browser so we can send alerts to that device.
  • Website enquiries: our contact form does not send your details to our servers. It opens WhatsApp with your message filled in, and what you send is received by us through WhatsApp.

3. How we use it

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

  • To provide the platform: signing you in, storing and showing your company's records, generating quotations, invoices and reports.
  • To keep the service secure: separating each company's data, enforcing role-based access, detecting misuse and investigating errors.
  • To respond to enquiries, demo requests and support questions.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations that apply to us.

4. Service providers we use

We share data only with providers that help us run RAYVO, and only as far as each feature needs. Some are used only when a business turns the related feature on.

  • Supabase — database hosting, where platform data is stored.
  • Hostinger — the servers that run the RAYVO application.
  • Google (Gemini) — AI features such as reading an uploaded electricity bill; the document or text for that request is sent to Google to be processed.
  • Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) — when a business connects WhatsApp to send quotations and messages to its customers.
  • IndiaMART — when a business connects its IndiaMART account to bring in leads.
  • Resend — delivery of emails sent by the platform.
  • Dodo Payments — the checkout for RAYVO plans, and for invoice payment links when a business connects its own Dodo account. Dodo processes the payment as merchant of record under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Maps, Esri and OpenStreetMap — map imagery and address search when you pick a site location. The search text and map area you view are sent to these services.
  • Your browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla) — delivers notifications if you turn them on.

5. How long we keep data

We keep account and business data for as long as the company's RAYVO account is active. When an account is closed, or on a valid request, we delete or anonymise the data, except where we must keep some records for longer by law — for example tax and accounting records.

6. How we protect it

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will act on it and notify as the law requires.

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and RAYVO.
  • Passwords stored as one-way hashes.
  • Every request checked against the company it belongs to, so one business cannot see another's records.
  • Role-based permissions within a company, including limiting what each salesperson can see.
  • Credentials for connected services, such as WhatsApp, stored encrypted.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to access your personal data, have it corrected or completed, have it erased, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. You can also raise a grievance with us, and escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved.

If your data was entered into RAYVO by a business you deal with — for example, you are that business's customer or employee — please contact that business first. We will help them respond.

8. Children

RAYVO is a business product and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated to account holders.
